So, last night was pretty busy, lots going on.
- I have now made my first (and soon first personal) foray into the world of Windows Vista by putting Windows Vista Business on one of the ThinkCenter machines here in the office, which scored the amazingly stupendous “Experience Score” of … 1.0! Really, that’s just cause the graphics card sucks, so with a decent graphics card, one of our stock IBM’s here could easily be a 3.0, or a half decent Vista box. It will be installed on my Tablet PC shortly, and I expect it to run the same (low graphics, but high in other areas), and the Business edition has tweaks in place especially for tablets. Good stuff indeed!
- I also got signed up for Vonage to replace my home cell phone (if you still only have my 513 cell number, an e-mail would be good, it won’t work for a couple of weeks), and after a single night, it’s been respectable. Grant you, the true test will be how it holds up when I am on my 360 or doing something else very network intensive, OR how easy it is to port if I am on the road, but at least for this exact moment, I have no complaints and won’t mind the $15 or so a month I’m saving one bit!
Those are the quickie thoughts for now. More on huge flash drives and moving data around later.

Back To Blogging
Filed under: Personal; No CommentsI would love to say that I’m going to make it a New Year’s Resolution to blog a little bit more, because interesting things really do happen in my life … of course, January 29th is a bit late to be setting ANY resolutions, but nonetheless, that’s what I’m going to try to do.
That also begs a question that I’ve thought about asking for awhile now. I have 100 gigs of web space and 1 terabyte of transfer space, thanks to GoDaddy. What I’d like to know from you, the (hopefully more then a few) readers I have is: how can I make that more useful to you?

Hey, the blog gets put on Google … thus, the search engine shall hopefully do me some good!
I’m curious if any other Googlers out there have had issues using InstallShield Tuner with the newest version of Acrobat Professional AND Reader, 7.0.9. I ask since it appears like the past version was built strictly around the ability to tune the previous version, 7.0.8, and appears broken when you feed it a MSI file made from merging in the 7.0.9 patches.
If you’re struggling too, let me know … and while you’re at it, let me know how to add a topic on Adobe’s forums, because while it says I should see something that says “Add Topic”, I sure don’t! (Screenshots will be posted if needed)

Two quick thoughts … I’ll get into the Holidays at some point soon, but two thoughts strictly from last night.
- I watched a Steven Seagal movie that lasted for an hour and a half … and I wanted three hours back! Now typically, you don’t get cinematic masterpieces here, but you can expect decent action and a funny line or two. Attack Force had neither, and had half of the actors dubbed over for half of the movie so bad it makes most US Anime look good!
- Danielle may indeed be my equal at Wii Sports Bowling! In just her second game, she topped my high score of 179 with a 181. After about five games, I eventually beat her with my first 200 game (exactly). I then introduced her to the Power Throws training game. My best was 559, her best was … 554 (and she had me beat most of the night in that too). I’ll have to send her Mii out to everyone, it’s very well done.
