    First, the comical thoughts:

    • Colin Farrell is so much better in this then he was in Alexander … then again, how could he be any worse?
    • This movie looks a ton like Collateral … oh wait, same director, never mind!
    • One of the bad guys looks like the spanish version of Matt Matson. I’m serious! Someone find me a picture of Matt-GJ and I’ll prove it!!
    • Somewhere about halfway through, you see tons of Mario signs …. was that the Haitian electronics district? Was that a Game Boy Color I saw advertised?!

Now for the truthful thoughts …

    • I have to give it a hard time for totally leaving the ending wide open. Sure, you find out the outcome of one character … kinda? And the other end of the story is left completely hanging. There’s no true resolutions.
    • Colin Farrell was alright, Jamie Foxx was very good as he usually is. The plot was good, but not great. The action has good moments in good locales, but not awe-inspiring by any account.
    • From a guy perspective, too much teasing of skin and not enough skin shown! Oh well, you can’t have it all.

I paid $3.50 to see it, and that’s about right. Not worth full retail, but certainly a good afternoon showing movie, or good for the cheap theaters when this arrives there.

… and look for Miami Vice 2, cause it’s coming, it’s SO coming! Of course, it may be held outside of Miami more then it is IN Miami. Name change, anyone?

Well, like any good piece of software that some small guy makes and it gets big, it gets bought up by some much bigger company, leaving the thought of it staying as good as it was in total limbo. Enter Hamachi.

My favorite utility for making small private VPN’s that will stretch through anything just got bought out by the company that brings you logmein.com. Nothing against their new owner, but nothing on this new site is free, thus the fear that soon, there won’t be a basic free version of Hamachi either (the program does have a premium subscription model, but but people who don’t need more then 16 people per network, free is just fine). So far, the forum chatter suggests little will change, but who knows.

Should this awesome program die, I will be more then happy to help everyone find a new cool program ASAP!

The first commenter did point out that there is LogMeIn Free. I must have just missed this (or more likely, saw the registration and Flash Demo of it and thought all that was free was the demo, which wasn’t right). I’ll have to give this a shot and review it here soon.
