So the next big update? Well, the fact that on exactly 5 days’ notice, I got to take a training trip to Washington DC for the LanDesk program that we use here. Danielle got to come along for a couple of the days too. She MUST love me considering she was willing to take the Amtrak train 17 hours, each way, to spend a couple of days with me!
Anyways, the training was good and the group of guys that I had the chance to meet there were awesome, definitely people I will keep in touch with in some way, shape, or form. And, I did get the opportunity to see downtown DC on Tuesday night with Danielle (although it was about 100 degrees, so it wasn’t exacly the most comfortable of evenings).
Very good trip, and good to get out of the office for a little bit. I’ll get to take some vacation time in August too, so having all this time to do some relaxing sounds really good!

Since I’ve been exceeindly lame at keeping this page up to date, and thankfully I have told most of the people who I talk to on a semi-regular basis, it’s time for the blog announcement:
I’M ENGAGED!!!
I asked my lovely bride-to-be about a week and a half ago now, and she said yes! The method of doing it was quite cheesy (if you prod, I’ll post how), but hey, it was effective. Now the fun part happens … wedding planning! We’ve been doing this (actually, Danielle has done most of it and I’ve been there to say yes or no to the ideas), and I’m already burning out of the planning. But, it should be a very very cool day when it comes around. Tentatively, we’re thinking next May, although that is still subject to change.
More later on my DC trip, on work in general, on GJ Tournaments, and a wealth of other topics and questions for the masses.
