I’m curious if anyone in the little circle of friends here is either a Google Mail or a Skype user. I’m trying to give both of these services a shot, but it’s no fun if you don’t know anyone using them! :-)

    ** I’m a dope … I also meant to say Google Talk!! :-) **

This hasn’t been the easiest of weeks. Prolly, a very good week, but not without some sense of realizing that I need to stop being worried about what’s going to happen, where I’m going to be in three months or less, what I’ll be doing, and where I’ll be living (well, there’s all of three options for that, but one I definitely prefer!). If I do the actions I need to make it happen, the rest is going to work, it just will.

In a perfect world, I’d know all these answers tomorrow … since it isn’t a perfect world, I don’t, and might not for a few weeks yet. But at least now, the actions are in motion to make it happen. Thank goodness!

So yes, chalk me up, add my mark to the wall, count me in as the latest peep that has decided to try Nintendogs … and is hooked!

I believe the technical name of the disease is the “Animal Crossing” effect. The effect when a game initially looks silly and cute enough (and sometimes graphically non-appealing) that it would keep a 6 year old occupied, but not a grown adult. Yet, when you play the game, you realize within moments, sometimes seconds, that you are hooked and there’s not a damn thing you can do about it. Welcome, Nintendogs.

I bought the Dachshund version, actually was really easy to pick which version … strictly on sentiment. The one dog that I really liked growing up was my grandpa’s Shih Tzu named Tiger, so that’s exactly what I’m starting with … a Shih Tzu named Tiger!

So far, the experience is limited. A couple of walks, one bath, one trick learned (the normal “sit” one), and one very fruitless attempt to toss the Frisbee in the park. Guess I need to work on that one, because I’m down to $400, and eventually, the money is just going to run out!

Anyways, this all does give me an idea … how about a Nintendogs weekly challenge! Any ideas? Would it be taking your custom dog to the best Frisbee score? Is there a fair way to do one?
