Wow, this fits well with my current life situation … excited about what’s to come … couldn’t have said it much better!

    You Are 21 Years Old

    21

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what’s to come… love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You’ve had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You’ve been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

My cell phone currently says 46 hours, 12 minutes, 10 seconds … it can’t pass quickly enough ’til I’m in Columbus!

I just saw a bit of news that’s sad to me. I saw an article in the newspaper that Kool-Aid and Oreo will not be targeted to kids under the age of 12.

I know that society is all about doing anything to keep children eating healthy and doing the right things to keep in shape, and that’s all good. But come on now! What is a kid’s life without the fun of every now and then dipping an Oreo cookie in a glass of milk? Were the Kool-Aid Man (”ooooooh yeah!”) commercials not the collest thing ever when you were 9? Was it not cool to drink your Kool-Aid out of the pitcher that you saved up your 200 Kool-Aid Man points for and sent in (with $1.95 shipping and handling of course!) and got?

That’s what I’m saying! It’s too uptight now. This comment will totally make me look like my parents, but enough, I’m gonna say it … I did a lot more stuff when I was a kid and I turned out okay. I think if a parent knew that their kid would take a bike, and get a burst of speed and go down a huge hill as fast as they could, with all of 100 feet to stop (that street was the bomb by the way, I should take a picture of it next trip to Louisville, I could get up to almost 30 mph with my geeky little bike spedometer!), some parental group would find a way to install ABS anti-lock breaks and speed governors on your ten-speed.

I know it amazed me to hear the stories of what my parents did when they were my age at any given time, it seems like things were so much more relaxed and loose, and yeah, they made it to be big kids in one piece, as did I …. you think I could ever carry a cap gun like I thought I was cool anymore (that I got from the grocery store no less)? At this point (and I was like 8 when I did that and we’d play pretend cops and robbers), I’d get 5 to 20 in the state pen, as an adult!

    C’mon, Kool-Aid people, lighten up!
