This is a hard journal entry to write. Not because anything went badly … the opposite. Saturday was such a good day (one of the best days I can ever remember!) that I want to accurately tell how good of a day it was and how excited I am for what’s coming up.
Needless to say, this is about the date with Danielle. I can’t believe how well it went, and even now, a day removed from seeing her (and missing her already big time), I’m unbelievably happy, and still have a complete set of emotions going through my head. All intense, and all very good.
In short …. I don’t know if I am in love yet, but I am falling, and very quickly, and it feels really good.
Here’s the short version of the day. We went to Columbus Zoo and saw the Holiday Lights, which turned out great and the weather held up just long enough until we left, but we saw the entire zoo and a lot of very cool animals and new exhibits that they had up and going for the winter. After that, we stopped at a little pizza place called Mama Mimi’s, where they make for you a deluxe pizza with any toppings you want that you can take home and bake, and these pizzas are awesome! Got a pizza with pepperoni, sausage, roasted garlic, full slices of roma tomatoes and some veggies and it was great. There so needs to be one of these places in Cincinnati!
Got that, picked up Chronicles of Riddick (big fan of this, she loves both action and comedy movies) and enjoyed it a lot and then just hung out for awhile after that and headed home. All in all, it was an awesome evening, and we really hit it off well, even better then we had when we were talking over the phone. Danielle is very easy going, conversation between the two of us is never a big deal since we both have common likes and dislikes (and want to know more about each other’s hobbies and different interests, I can’t think of any moments of awkward silence).
In the end, there is no doubt we both like each other and are attracted to each other a lot, and that is a feeling that I haven’t had towards someone in a long time, and as I’ve said, it means ten times more to me that she feels that way about me. I don’t know that feeling quite as well in my life, but now I hope it never goes away.
The only “trade secret” I’m letting out is this: Danielle has a small tattoo on the upper part of her back, her friend (and the person whom hooked the two of us up) had drawn the symbol next to a picture of her in a journal book, it means “beautiful”.
Nothing could be more true on every level.
P.S. - She’s coming down to see me this Saturday to catch a hockey game! How cool is that! :: insert smile that will last all week here! ::
