So on Saturday night, I had my little “catch up” time with everyone. Maybe it was my mood, or just the nature of more adult like conversations, but I talked to two people, one being a good friend whom is a girl, and another a good friend whom used to be a girlfriend … both of the conversations ended up talking about sex! Of all the people to be talking about that to, would be two women whom I’ve known for like 5 years (and whom, be this good or bad, aren’t prospect, if you will)

When I finally got done talking on the phone, this was at like 1 AM in the morning, it was awful surreal … and I was sore from sitting on the woek couch for 4 hours! Kinda weird to be talking so much about something you’re not getting and with people you won’t be getting it from.

Just a random thought. Maybe I’ll post more later about it.

I must say, I have seen a show on VH1 that has totally endeared me, and I only saw 5 minutes of it: “My Coolest Years: Geeks”. I’m flipping through channels, I fall onto this, and it’s amazing … this was me! In many ways, this still IS me (in good ways and bad ways). I’m gonna get the whole show on my TiVo tonight (as long as Aqua Teen Hunger Force doesn’t override it), but a couple of quick thoughts:

* It makes me happy to see a punk rocker like Andrew WK talk about being not in the “cool” group, and being such a huge pinball fan. There was a Mediaval Madness in his basement when they were profiling him, which I know for a fact from my roommate how cool that is (and how hard it is to find).

* For the first time in my recorded life, I actually had empathy with John Tesh, cause some of the geek high school stories he talked about were quite amusing. Now, this doesn’t forgive his music (he should take my feeling as “the insomnia cure” as a compliment!), but it’s good to see he’s one of us, if you will.

I will let you know about the full show. I’m sure the high school memories will flow back.

The longball is overrated anyways.

So how cool is this! I’m at the store last Saturday, in my new trademark Nintendo beanie and Mario Hoodie (which I will have a pic of very soon), and a friend of a friend of the store (yeah, makes sense even though it sounds like it doesn’t), thought enough of me and thought I was cute enough to suggest hooking me up with her friend in Columbus! How cool is that!

So needless to say this is exciting. Haven’t dated anyone in entirely too long and as I was saying to someone else yesterday, it’s been awhile since I’ve even had a really good crush. Certainly, this will make those long work weeks just a bit more worth it no doubt.
